Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Scandar platform operated by Scandar ("we," "us," or "our"), including the website at scandar.ai, the Scandar API, and the Scandar CLI. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Scandar provides AI security scanning tools that analyze AI skill files, MCP server source code, configuration files, system prompts, and agent configurations for security threats. Results are advisory — Scandar does not guarantee detection of all vulnerabilities.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Scandar.

3. Plans and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months. Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year and are non-refundable after 14 days.

You retain ownership of all content you submit for scanning. Scandar retains ownership of the scanning engine, detection rules, trust scoring algorithms, and all platform code. Scan results (findings, trust scores, recommendations) are licensed to you for your internal use.

6. API and CLI Usage

API access is available to Pro subscribers. API keys must be kept confidential and not shared. We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are used in violation of these Terms or that generate excessive load. The CLI tool is provided under the terms of its license file.

7. Marketplace

Skills and MCP servers listed on the Scandar Marketplace have passed our security verification process. However, we do not guarantee that verified projects are free of all vulnerabilities. Verification indicates that the project passed our automated and manual review at the time of listing. Use marketplace projects at your own risk.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Scandar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that: scans will detect every vulnerability, the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that trust scores represent an absolute measure of security. Scandar is a tool to assist security review, not a replacement for professional security auditing.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scandar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

13. Dispute Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@scandar.ai. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue formal resolution. You agree that any disputes will be resolved on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.

14. Force Majeure

Scandar shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure failures, cyberattacks, pandemics, or other events of force majeure.
